Educators made phone calls and sent emails to parents of students in our cohort who have excessive absences and informed those parents about opportunities to make up work, including Saturday school. Because attendance impacts the success of our mission, would I input these in GUIDES?
You can input these into GUIDES. You can enter it as Counseling/Advising service with Virtual (phone) as method of service. You can link to only Parents if the students were not part of the phone calls. Regarding emails, we ask that it be a two-way conversation (like phone calls) for it to be counted. So emails that received a response can count but not others. We expect that these phone calls and emails are documented and certified by the teacher either online or on paper for audit purposes.
